Of course organized labor scares the hard right more than terrorists.

In fact, the US hard right is very happy that terrorists are out there, since they are such a wonderful distraction from other issues and provide a never-ending source of fear to rile up the rubes in the base.

In contrast, organized labor is attempting to shift the balance of power toward labor and away from capital, and the slightest move in that direction is simply intolerable to the right.

I will never forget running across this Youtube video, right after the service itself became mainstream. This individual with obvious issues posts this montage starting with mere text stating that on some such date, “another” terrorist attack on the US commences and kills thousands of people (which apparently made this guy hot) and the only actual film was military porn of bombs being dropped by the thousands. He was narrating this religious war fantasy that we were exterminating “Islam.” It was some ugly shit.

I posted that this was the sickest thing I’d ever seen and speculated that he was jerking off to the bloody deaths of thousands or millions of people. He made some pathetic threatening comment about how when HE was President he’d have me hunted down — I mean it was rich. He also turned off commenting on his video so I re-posted it to as many blogs as I could with my included opinion of how the author was one sick fuck. I think he eventually took it down. So, I’ve had a very personal encounter with one of these useful idiots. They are scary stupid and hilariously full of themselves. I can imagine the pants-crapping that would commence if any of them had to suddenly cash the check their big mouths were writing.

re: #3 Pie-onist Overlord

I have difficultly believing that this 1956 poster by the GOP is completely sincere. After all, they had just struck a major blow against unions with the Taft-Hartley act.

My take is that back then, the GOP had to at least pretend to support organized labor as a matter of political necessity. These days, there is no need for such subterfuge, and the GOP is openly 100% anti-union.
