Announced, the cast is: The Star Wars movie franchise has announced the cast for the upcoming Episode VII movie.
Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow will join the cast of the new movie. The three stars of the original films - Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill - will reprise their roles as Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, respectively. Also back are Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Kenny Baker as R2-D2 and Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca.

Hmm. Kasdan is there listed as writer - Empire & Jedi were good more because of him than Lucas. That’s the first good sign. All six majors from the original series. That’s the second good sign. Abrams? Well, ok, his razzle dazzle side probably fits this better than Trek at least.
Be nice if they could find a real space opera writer like Leigh Brackett again but this will still probably be better than the prequels - epecially if “creative consultant” means that they can say “Yes, George” and then toss his suggestions in the nearest trash can.
