Photography and Ephemera
Some of you may recall this image that I posted recently:
On my way home today from a followup doctors apointment, I noted that the light was interesting - a bit of bright sun occasionally poking through a mostly cloudy day and I thought that it might be interesting to see how it looked after the past few days of snow melting warmth and rain coupled with that light.
What I got was this:
The barn and out building were both gone. There wasn’t much left, they didn’t just fall down - as you can see there is nothing left behind.
Almost a month and we go from this:

As a photographer, you’re always told to grab the shot when you see it. The light is never the same and who knows when you’ll be by that way again. And sometimes, the subject itself may be long gone as well.
An abandoned dairy barn or a broken statue of Ozymandias; time really doesn’t care which is which, does it? Only the earth abides…
