“The Lies Were Good for Fox’s Business” - Dominion $1.6 BN Suit Sums It All Up
The $1.6 billion lawsuit filed by Dominion - coming on the heels of a $2.7 billion suit from Smartmatic - contain within them the essence of why American society is rotting from the inside:
“Fox took a small flame” of disinformation and “turned it into a forest fire,” Dominion said in its lawsuit.
“The truth matters. Lies have consequences,” Dominion’s lawsuit added. “Fox sold a false story of election fraud in order to serve its own commercial purposes, severely injuring Dominion in the process. If this case does not rise to the level of defamation by a broadcaster, then nothing does.”
Dominion said that as a result of Fox’s “orchestrated defamatory campaign” it had suffered “enormous and irreparable economic harm” and that its employees had been subject to death threats.
Both Dominion and Smartmatic are attempting to hold Fox to account, using the tools available to them. But at some point, we are also going to have to have a governmental response.
That means:
- Hearings
- Indictments
- Trials
- Jail
Unless seditionists are put into jail along with the deluded freaks they inspired to commit their crimes, it will be like the Subprime Mortgage meltdown, where a few fatcats pay tip money fines, and walk away laughing.
Dominion Voting Systems sues Fox News for $1.6 billion.
Fox News “recklessly disregarded the truth” because “the lies were good for Fox’s business.”
The suit follows another filed by Smartmatic, which sued Fox for $2.7 billion last month.https://t.co/7L74Mymp5m
