Pretty country. I recall a visit to the Dells at age 12âŚthough too young to appreciate. Since then Iâve been up the coast to Green Bay a few times.
I find the color shots especially nice because green. Not enough green in the southwest but WI is loaded with it. Relaxing.
Nice pictures. I like that big oak as wellâŚitâs a monster and healthy looking. Replace the fence with an old rock wall and you could film a Shawshank Redemption scene.
The cows shot looks goodâŚlife drawing my eyes toward it.
Looking at the pics and recalling your recent post showing camera and lens equipment brought memories of an old friend, Barry. We would sometimes work together (Aerospace Industry) or seek each others opinion. This was a long while back. In the 1960âs-70âs Barry got into cameras in a big way and would bring in any new equipment for review/discussion. Through Barry, I was learning a lot. My interest was real because, at the time, I was taking nite courses (GI Bill) at a nearby college and doing the easy stuff like Art as History, Color & Design I&II, and Art Appreciation.
Barry brought in a Hasselblad (which I thought sounded funny) and another camera with over and under lens (donât recall the name), Nikons and others. Years later (early 70âs) Barry took pics of wife and me (no charge). His work was outstanding as by then he was a skilled wedding and special occasion photographer and much sought after. Barry did quite well as a photographer.
I found the photo review part (before Barryâs interest turned to live shots) preferable, still do, as evidenced by my pleasure looking at your pics.
I donât know how long youâve been into photography but wish you the best. I like what I have seen and envy your outings in such beautiful country.
Bought my first camera at the PX in Germany in 1983. But later I got frustrated by the crufty amateur level camera & kit zoom I had when we went to Vietnam for the adoption. I got serious about it after that and was chasing my tail for a long time but finally settled down into two main streams - my Leica rangefinder and my Nikon cameras.
Now itâs just the joy of making the images. Thatâs no small thing for me đ
