I have been humbled. I thought I had a pretty good knowledge of early jazz, but I had never heard of the Boswells till now. They’re great! I read the WIkipedia entry about them, and Connee was one of Ella Fitzgerald’s influences. I bet my parents heard their music on the radio box.

Yeah, they were before my time, too. But they were ahead of theirs, I think.

I’ve always been an aficionado of big band music, esp of the 40s, too.
