Gah. I live in the SF Bay Area. There will be a natural disaster eventually-an earthquake. I plan to greet my neighbors with offers of help and sharing rather than a weapon. I believe they will do the same. Previous earthquakes have not produced ravening hordes and I don’t suppose the next one will either.

In the AR15 owners’ imagination, it’s roving packs of Those People. In Lucifer’s Hammer, Those People became cannibals, because pretty much that’s what urban black people do, if you’re a racist SciFi writer.
