The cop’s not helpless. Especially if it’s the religious police. I’m not saying he deserves anything, but I don’t feel sorry for him for any reason. He’s part of the establishment. That’s like trying to soft-soap the responsibilities of the Jewish Ghetto Police in Warsaw.

Walter, once he is disarmed, on the ground and surrounded by a crowd, he does not deserve to be beaten to death. He may be the face of a brutal dictator, but I would hope the protesters are better than that.
