I sometimes wonder if the average independent who casts a vote for the GOP has ever actually looked at their platform. Their actual party planks are so nutjob I feel like I’m looking at LaRouchites.

They’ve got so many amendments they want rammed into the Constitution, it’s sad. They’ve apparently decided that they’re losing the culture wars, so their last gasp is to push for enshrining their hate, bigotry, and stupidity into the very root of all our laws.
