Don’t know what he’s talking about. Ron Paul actually won in 1976. If Ron Paul’s lost any election, I wager to say it’s because he’s you know a genuine kook.

Paul won a special election for the seat that had been vacated, then lost the general election months later by 0.2% of the vote. He contested the election to the House of Representatives, claiming (amongst other things) that felons had illegally voted.

He won the seat back 2 years later and held it until he got stupid and ran for the presidency as a libertarian in 1988. Then he got elected in a new district in 1996 and remained in Congress til he chose to retire last year.
