Ben is a wingnut. For him, anything the US does (under a Republican president) is righteous beyond question. Other countries are expected to submit to the US in all matters, large or small. Treaties are either superfluous to the extent they agree with US policies, or are irrelevant to the extent they contradict US policies.

The wingnut perspective looks remarkably stupid when written out clearly.

This is why they come up with clever euphemisms to mask their true intent. They know that if they come right out and say it, it’ll look and sound as utterly stupid as it really is.
