Except for the whole part being absolutely true. This isn’t some arcane area of the legal system, it’s in black and white.

It’s a bit more arcane than many people think (with the mother’s period of residence in the US playing a role), so it’s a simplification, but Cruz does fulfill these obscure rules too, so he’s a NBC.
