Obama could have been held up by conservatives as an example that the American Dream really works: any American, regardless of social or ethnic background, who works hard enough can rise to the highest office in the land.

But that would have involved acknowledging Obama’s accomplishments, however begrudgingly, and that was just too much for most conservatives…

Instead, he was a Manchurian candidate, a Kenyan Muslim, rabble-rousing, Alinsky-addled community activist and a coddled affirmative action child…but not a highly educated constitutional scholar and former editor of the Harvard Law Review.
