One aspect of the killing of Mr. Jean that keeps bugging me is the differing reports on the state of the door to his apartment. The cop in her statement claims it was unlocked, and slightly ajar. Meanwhile, there are reported witnesses that say they heard her knocking, and demanding entrance.

Sorry, I think I probably have four comments in a row on this thread, but this is possible. She COULD have noted that the door was slightly ajar, and thinking that it was her own, she may have been calling “let me in” so that an intruder would come to the door. The problem of course is that by that point, she surely, if sober, would have realized that it isn’t her fucking number on the door she’s standing in front of.
