I’ve seen patterns like that on gaming forums, especially when it comes to MMO’s. You’ll have people who got banned from a forum or who quit a game in disgust ages ago STILL bitching and holding a grudge years after the fact. That has never, ever made sense to me.

Well said. The stalkers ultimately are a hateful subset of alt.nerd.obsessive - but with a wingnut twist. The hate filled echo-chamber is their social life. It’s rather pathetic and of the same ilk of the WoW guy asked to function in society.
