Ah, listen to an old(er) experienced guy: don’t do too much research yet! I did a TON of it when first diagnosed in July of ‘05 and scared myself half to death.
Talk to the Onc first - and if you don’t like him/her, get a referral from you doc to another Onc. Everyone is DIFFERENT and reacts differently to cancer (IF you have cancer) and treatments for cancer and all that research (mine was at Sloan-Kettering and Johns Hopkins) WILL confuse you thoroughly!

I second your suggestion not to do too much research YET.
What’s on the web is often worst-case scenario.
No use getting all worked up until you know exactly what it is you need to be worked up about.
