what’s the pitch?…are the adverisers selling?

Here’s how it works.

Political talk host does a segment about investing that doesn’t sound like an ad at all. Just an investing segment, talking about the markets. Interviewing a “broker”.

Over the next 20 minutes (punctuated by normal commercials, as well) the conversaion reveals that the markets aren’t really safe, stock market is this, commodities are that, real estate is down, etc. So what’s next? Well, the only real solution is gold! and then right at the end, the “broker” who was presented as a real broker, is revealed to be a guy who will help you invest in gold, etc etc. And then it’s all clear if you’re sorta into the radio biz, that the entire last 20 minutes was one long disguised pitch for selling Gold investments.
