I’m an optimist by nature, but my application of the 80-20 rule on people goes like this:

80% of the people are just indifferent about anything outside of their immediate circle.
Of the remaining 20%, I think that 80% of the people are really good people; they’re the ones that bend the arc toward justice.

Of that 80%, 80% do the right thing every time they can, while 20% just go out of their way, above and beyond.

Of the original 20%, 20% of those are just bad people, and you can go further down that chain to keep finding worse and worse people. Steve Miller fits into one of those latter groups.

He’s an auto-supremacist. Somebody had to be the best at that, and he did it. How he got stuck in that mode, I don’t know. I have no desire to look into it right now. Then he lucked into Trump’s orbit, or the Russians put him there, or something.
