My grandfather died of a heart condition when he was 47. My mother and her siblings, of course, reported this to their doctors and two of them have lived into their 60’s with medical intervention.

Heart conditions can be genetic, and his children should be aware of this fact.

I have just outlived my father, who died of a hear attack just before his 53rd birthday.

He had some other complicating issues: a previous car accident had smashed his legs and left him with a lot of scar tissue. Also made it hard for him to get out and get excercise, and his diet was that of your typical American working-class male of the late 60’s. bacon and eggs for breakfast, burgers for lunch, pot roast for dinner, etc…
