Ouch. That’s gonna leave a mark. I worked in the legislature way back when, and Silver ran the place with an iron fist. He tolerated no dissent and closely managed the Democratic caucus which he was leader of.

One of the three men in the room that negotiated the budgets. He was there when Spitzer got canned. When Joe Bruno got canned. When David Paterson fumbled his way through, and now he’s toast. So much for being the longest running Speaker in state history when his ultimate legacy is one of corruption and covering for sexual assaults among staffers and members of the Assembly.

Good riddance.
