Honestly I was quite upset at the violent level of outrage at the video that (maybe) added to the tension. I don’t get acting violent over a printed book, or an insulting cartoon of Mohammed. Not my religion, not my culture so I do not understand at all.

But this? Now this is even worse. To smear rescuers as attackers is AFAIK far worse in moral terms. This incitement is a sin against ourselves, a step toward building hell on earth. Why fear theological hell when your angry/crazy neighbors wants to install a very real hell right in your zip code?

Now we have a very scary scenario. Now Muslim hating bigots have seen they can cause all kinds of death and mayhem for the cost of a small book burning rally, a video on youtube or just by printing insulting cartoons. Now the haters are empowered beyond our nightmares because of the willingness of certain Muslims to get violent over mere images. Now every bigot with a camera and internet can set a part of the world on fire with outrage, protected by our 1st amendment.
