What’s his name, Bush’s early press secretary, published a column just the other day, about how more people should pay more taxes, rather than exempt half the population from worrying about federal taxes - and EXPENDITURES. I agree.

Not sure it shifts the burden much, but it might, a little, and at least all voters have shared interests.

That’s more of a flat tax, not the fair tax which is like the European (and other places) VAT-or federal sales tax. I think a flat tax is doable, I just doubt it will happen in the near future.
