The first mass shooting I remember was Columbine. I was a junior in high school, I was going steady with a gal who went to Columbine her first two years of HS before moving, Columbine is about 100 miles due east of my high school. It was visceral and terrifying, and it was covered in the press for years.

I’ve lived through fuck all amount of mass shootings since then, including the Aurora theater shooting, which was only 10 miles away from where I lived at the time.

I’m numb to this shit. I get mad and post some stuff on Twitter and whatnot, but nothing will come of it. Nothing. And you know what? It’s going to happen again. And soon. Mass shootings are accelerating at a nice clip.
