No. It’s a result of our attitude toward and acceptance of violence. When a bare boob on TV gathers record fines but prime time if full of fights & killing, there’s the real source of the problem. Magically take away the guns and we’d still be as violent with axes, swords & arrows. Until the acceptance of violence changes, nothing else will.

OK then. Let’s compare the killing efficiency between axes, swords & arrows and semi-automatic to automatic weapons?

I do agree that guns alone aren’t the problem. I would also like to add that I’m not saying we should ban all guns either. It is however time to clamp down and make these weapons harder to purchase.

I’d still rather face someone with axes, swords & arrows than some nut with a semi-automatic.
