The pessimist in me agrees with that. Since I don’t really have a say in the matter I’m a bit flexible. I don’t see any victory in that fight unless that society changes. I am not seeing much of a change there especially with Karzai in power.

There was an interesting comment from Obama a couple of weeks ago where he said “I didn’t deserve this” refering to the NPP.

It’s just unfortunate, to say the least, that a POTUS running two wars is being given a “peace” prize.
IIRC Obama did say from the beginning that he didn’t feel he deserved the award.
