‘GunnyTime’ host R. Lee Ermey ‘blackballed’ from Hollywood for conservative views

Is “living in the dessert” anything like “high on the hog?” Guess not since it seems to be a source of complaint.
Politics aside, Ermey is a decent actor but he was seriously type-cast (and worked very hard to help it happen) and now, at 72, he is too old to play those roles when they do come along.

Family Guy one of the most liberally written shows in Hollywood had him on in 2012 and yeah he’s kind of a guy whose range is fairly limited so it’s not a surprise he has a hard time finding work. IT’s not because of his conservative views. Honestly, I find it funny when conservative actors complain about “being blacklisted” because leftist actors were literally blacklisted and that was okay with the conservative actors of that era. Oh and Lee, Sly Stallone’s new movie just got rave views and he’s plenty conservative so no your “I’m a victim of liberal persecution” bs doesn’t fly.
