In all seriousness though, I’m more than a little tempted to show up tomorrow just long enough to turn in my security badge and other work items and tell them to piss off if that’s all the better they’re going to treat employees.

I mean, they actually pay worse than f***ing Wal-Mart does these days, and I get absolutely no benefits at all despite working near full-time. If I’m not even going to get a shred of loyalty from them, I see zero reason to stay (other than the fact that I need money of course - that’s kind of a big one. But shit pay, zero benefits, treated like crap, I think I can probably find another situation like that without too much difficulty).

That might harm you in the long run and come back to haunt your job record. Instead, go in if you can, hang as tough as you can and start looking for a new job as soon as you can. Then hand in your notice you are leaving. Maybe in a nice way hint to why you are leaving but be nice about it. Be the bigger person, it always pays.
