I would point out that there are a few things on that list that are treated as a “pre-existing condition” that only seem to count when receiving active treatment. I mean, I grant you that pretty much all humans will end up with a pre-existing condition at some point because we exist, but I doubt they’re charging women an extra $17k a year after they’re no longer pregnant. (Although I’m sure they would if they could.)

That said, I’m well aware that I’m fucked and that’s why I pointed out we wouldn’t move to NC, even temporarily, because despite not being under active treatment at this point and having maintained insurance coverage without a gap since I was born, pretty much, I have no faith that NC isn’t going to fuck over people.
