Having a big ass lead in the polls by the Democrats encourages some serious 3 a.m. introspection by tech bros who would rather not be roasted in front of Congressional committees who have the power to do what they want to do. This is the positive feedback loop death spiral for a GOP who needs these tech bros to carry their water.

This is a major tipping point: Trump can no longer count on social media to carry the vaporware he is putting into circulation.
