Because dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope - at least according to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.

Tobacco seeds have been, and continue, to sell like hotcakes as folk try to grow their own for a hobby and to get around the tax-man. Thing is, a good yield on a plant is about 4 ounces, maybe enough, if the quality is good, and if you process it correctly, to make about 5 packs of low-grade smokes. Small-time growers (say, less than 5 or so acres) can’t get enough grown to even begin to process it properly. Funny stuff, though, the idea of gardening your way through a crisis.
