Yeah true. Just hard to imagine a two time losing candidate getting a third chance. Stevenson getting a second chance in consecutive election still amazes me. My Dad was telling me that my Grandmother apparently really liked Adlai. He did have a lot of clever lines like how he found the Apostle Paul appealing and Norman Vincent Peale appalling. And the line about how he’d still need a majority if he got the vote of every thinking man and woman in the country.

Yeah, presidential losers not treated very well these days, although there were plenty of calls and expectations that Romney would run again this year.
