The issue on college still remains the overwhelming majority of jobs (quantity) do not require college degrees. My carpenter nor electrician do not require mechanical nor electrical engineering degrees, but there are far more carpenter and electrician jobs available than engineering jobs available.

I am not trying to denigrate college degrees; I wish I’d had the opportunity to go to college myself.

Few people in our area have college degrees. The majority would be either teachers or women with secretarial school diplomas. Of course, there are doctors and lawyers, but they are not the norm.
