Indeed. There is something wrong and cruel about kicking lesser creatures. It is against my own moral code to do so - but not because they don’t have it coming - more because I rather enjoy it.

Well, where I draw the line is poking insensate clods with sharp sticks when they’re too intellectually challenged to know that’s what you’re doing.

Neither Rose nor Yooper is insensate. Just totally, utterly lacking in self-awareness and insight into their own motives.
