I have to agree about the budget bill. He’s being advised to leave it alone since it’s a carry over bill and he needs the good will of congress. They think they can use the political cover of saying it’s old bill, but it’s loaded with earmarks from both sides. He should send it back, even if he pisses off both sides, the public would love it.

This time we agree, avanti. I’d add that the good will of Congress is not a thing any president should want so long as Congress insists on spending money it doesn’t have. A president was a mature adult (which Obama is not), would send Nancy and Harry back to their room to figure a budget not devoted to funneling public to their cronies.
