I’m not sure which generation you’re a part of, but at the tender age of 61 that was never a part of my culture. I have known people of all ages who think antibiotics will cure a cold.
(Note: not meant to sound snarky-I’m just not sure that it is entirely a generational thing.)

There is no such recognized medical condition as “a cold” it’s just a collection of symptoms. That’s why there is no cure.
