re: #90 klys (maker of Silmarils)

I am all ears on recommendations for a replacement. He doesn’t want to go crazy expensive and we shouldn’t have to, because he’s not out there on the cutting edge of what folks do on mountain bikes. Enough that the suspension is useful but… (I’m really not the right person to be trying to relay this because I know NOTHING about it, but if it would help I can try to get him to write down what he’s looking for.)

I’ve been riding a Santa Cruz Blur for years, though a full set these days is quite spendy. Kona, GT and Rocky Mountain make good bikes. It’s all about riding the bike to find the ideal geometry. And yeah, like wrenchwench said, make sure the bike shop is legit.
