To be fair, the people of Puerto Rico don’t want to become a state unless you count rigged votes.

I’m of the opinion that if they don’t want to become a state, we should offer them a severence package. We’ve screwed them over big time, but Trump and the GOP’s reaction to Maria should show everyone that being a territory isn’t helping, especially when Trump reinstates a rule that causes shipping fees to double to them.
