re: #86 lawhawk
*facepalm*
This is just stunning. Unfuckingbelievable.
I am stunned.
The talk from the past 48 hours about how Alex Jonesâ phone was given over to plaintiffs was really underplaying what was actually handed over. It was the entire contents of the hard drive of the defense lawyer Pattis, who represents Jones, a bunch of Proud Boy 1/6 defendants, and one of Jonesâ employees.
To say that theyâre all fucked is understating.
To say that the 1/6 Commission is interested in all this is understating things.
To say that the DOJ isnât looking on intently is understating.
This is a big fucking deal.
This is the kind of thing that all those right wingers saying âHunter Biden laptopâ wish that laptop hard drive actually was/contains.
Does their lawfirmâs IT not have enough competence to say buy a new flash drive (or 20) for every set of data you need to hand off to a different parties in different court cases for discovery.
Canât a half way competent law firm just add $1000 for 20 Flash drives as a billable item?
Or are the lawyers and/or Alex Jones trying to do things on the cheap?
I presume weâre not talking about petabytes of data here, just terabytes?
Edit: Itâs only 300 gigabytes
Or are there standards, certified vendors, etc, based on the jurisdiction that drive up the costs?
