What Juan did was wrong — not because he offended someone but rather because he helped to sustain a note of fear first hammered by Bill O’Reilly. That note resonated across the board when Juan stepped on the sustain pedal. He spoke his fear, and then did not man up and objectively disclaim it as irrational and childish. As a role model for young journalists, Juan should know better.

Juan has clearly jumped on the Fox bandwagon, where they pwn their audiences through alternating fear and bile.

That bolded part right there. That’s what makes it bigoted speech.
