Hello, everyone. After having a swallow study (lovely barium belly now) and a pulmonary function test done this morning, I sit here, trying to push as much water down as I can and not keel over.

May I say that I am surprised that Reid actually did not allow Burris to come in and take his chair? My opinion of Reid is that he is all bluster and little action. So the fact that Burris got the boot surprises me. It does not surprise me that Burris is now talking about legal action.

I get the feeling that in two or three years, the courts will be doing nothing but listening to challenges related to the federal government: election counts, who can be seated, who can’t, FOIA claims, etc. etc. We’re close to that now, with only a few cases of personal action being taken to federal courts.

I get the same feeling watching Blago. It’s like a rotten tooth with it’s roots wrapped around the spinal cord. And how many more rotten teeth need to be pulled? It’s another problems the drafters of the Constitution evidently didn’t anticipate.
