Right, same thing with my mom’s dad. He was a high school drop out and lived in a time before we had special ed programs that could have benefited someone like him who probably had an undiagnosed learning disability but he was able to send both of his kids off to school and afford their tuition. I think we need to make the idea more affordable tutition for all first before we propose something like free for all. I love the idea as I said but I think like so much, I don’t see how it’s done.

There was a time when state college tuition costs were so low that you could cover most of them with a summer job and some part-time work on or off campus.

There is a big difference between graduating with, say < $10K in student loan debts (down payment on a car) and > $40K (down payment on a house).
