So much anger over what was someone’s idea of a faux monument (erected for laughs?).
All I can surmise is that this kind of petty territorial/ideological angst is why we (humans) can’t have good things for very long.
Religious people have for thousands of years destroyed monuments or statues they hate (see all the Greek and Roman monuments defaced by Christians, or the Buddhist monuments destroyed by the Taliban).
That’s one reason conservatives (aside from their racism) are whinging about removal of Confederate monuments: They see it as liberals (and RINOs) acting in a religious manner.
