It does look like a pretty clear example of photo manipulation, but so far I haven’t been able to discover which newspaper it comes from, or who took the photo; there’s a lot of disinformation being pushed out via Twitter, so take this with a grain of sodium chloride.

Charles, the Twitter photo was taken from this Iranian blogger’s page,called Kheirkhah. He claims the the photo came from the front page of this Iranian newspaper, “Kayhan News.” He links to this page at the paper, but it’s been taken down — so no way to know for sure. But I see little reason to doubt him — looks like a newspaper photo to me.
