I went to my niece’s first communion today…pleasant service. Catholic mass has changed over the years…it’s gotten a lot more ‘jesusy’ than it used to be…almost evangelical in nature. I don’t remember it being like that growing up. Mass used to be so simple…Audience participation was kept to a simple ‘Amen’ or ‘Lord hear our prayer’ but now everything has to be sung three times and there’s lots of raising hands in the air…kind of freaky, to be quite honest.

Me no like much.
I prefer the quieter, simpler Mass, myself.
