How could the Democrats have reacted more effectively to the recent decisions, other than sending out a barrage of fundraising e-mails?

Start taking on the court rhetorically as a political villain and as an institution that is out of touch with a majority of the American public. That is something Biden could easily do. Schumer is doing it, calling them a radical MAGA court. Elizabeth Warren has been doing it. The medium to long term here is a plan to rein in the court’s power. And you’re only going to build support for that idea if we start politically making the court into an issue. And that requires rhetorically taking the court on, invoking it on the campaign trail as an institution that needs to be checked, making the case for Democrats remaining in power in Congress.
