I had this neighbor who would sit outside and write music. He would play the songs or the bits he was working on over and over. There was this incident where a lady fell in the pool who couldn’t swim. This guy jumped in, swam under her and pushed her by the feet to the edge. Anyway we became friends, I sold him the diamond for his first marriage. When his band played local I would sometimes get in there with my camera.

(CNN)Bryan Hopkins hid in a freezer with dozens of others while the deadliest mass shooting in US history unfolded in Las Vegas late Sunday night. On Monday morning, he described his experience on CNN’s “Newsroom.”

Hopkins, a musical artist who had been at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, said the gunfire, which was later revealed to be coming from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel, was “constant.”
