Like his purchase of the Plaza in Manhattan, the Trump casinos were just an impulsive rich boy’s attempts to be a Big Name in Real Estate. Despite large cash infusions from Fred Trump, Donnie went bankrupt and lost the casinos and the Plaza, but somehow managed to leave with money in his pockets. His fellow investors in the casinos, and the people working in them, and the contractors who never got paid, not so much.

And the market analyst who warned that this would happen… was fired for it, and blacklisted from ever getting another job at any investment firm.
