re: #105 calochortus

Ravelry, the knitting and other fiber-craft website* has banned Trump support (although not Trump supporters, you just can’t post anything that supports Trump.) Much upset has ensued among conservatives.

*There are lots of things other than knitting discussed in various groups, including a bit of politics. There are a very few conservative groups there which have never tolerated any dissent, debate, or deviation from whatever a group’s moderator believes, banning people who ask questions or occasionally a moderator will alter a liberal’s post to say something the original poster never did. But the liberals are the bad/dishonest/stupid people.

These are the same people who think you should be able to deny someone medical treatment for being gay so I’m not too sympathetic especially because they didn’t ban Trump supporters. They just banned Trump support. Maybe they want their knitting to be free of the orange shitface. A lot of the genealogy groups I belong to have a no politics rule and I respect that even though I think a lot of genealogy should be making us more empathetic and sympathetic towards the immigrants that Trump has been treating like criminals.
