There’s one other thing you might try, as a last resort, to get rid of the bugger. It’s dangerous, but it works every time it’s tried. There is a novelty contact explosive that can be made with stuff you pick up at the drug store that, once dry, can be set off by the lightest vibration or change in pressure. I once used a few pieces, the size of grains of rice, atop pieces of cheese, to rid a basement of rats.

Any vibration, and it explodes. Rat touches bat, BOOM! If rat is close enough, it kills, if not, then it scares the holy hell outta the critter and he don’t come back.
