I had a hard time with Basterds. It’s a topic I am very queezy about. Alternative histories usually bother me. But Django didn’t for some reason.

I used to love Alt History and Turtledove and all that, but moved on to more pulpy scifi. Though I did just finish Ack-Ack Macaque, that takes place in a future in an alternate world and was pretty good for a book with a monkey on the cover. Basterd’s second best thing was the alternate history came out of nowhere (the best being Christoph Waltz)

Yeah, I’ve been following him forever. His Pundits of Oz podcast is a funny listen as well.
